Café shift note: menu changes and tasks

1. 午後から働く山田さんへ。今日はパンを作る機械が故障したので、サンドイッチは三時までに売り切れると思います。

   To Yamada, who works this afternoon: the bread-making machine broke today, so I think the sandwiches will sell out by three.

2. 新しいパンは届かないので、残りがなくなったら、入口のメニューからサンドイッチの紙を外してください。

   No new bread will arrive. When the remaining sandwiches are gone, remove the sandwich sheet from the menu at the entrance.

3. 店長は「ケーキと飲み物は、いつもどおり用意できます」と言っていました。

   The manager said, “We can prepare cakes and drinks as usual.”

4. サンドイッチを注文したいお客さんには、売り切れた理由を短く説明してから、ケーキのメニューを見せてください。

   For customers wanting sandwiches, briefly explain why they have sold out, then show the cake menu.

5. 私は二時半に帰る予定でしたが、忙しいので三時まで残ることにしました。三時になったら、山田さんがレジをお願いします。

   I was scheduled to leave at two thirty, but because it is busy I decided to stay until three. Yamada, please take over the till at three.

6. 閉店は六時です。五時半になったら、外の机を片付け始めてください。店の中の席は六時まで使えます。

   The café closes at six. Start putting away the outside tables at five thirty. Indoor seats can be used until six.
