How to find the information
A number distinguishes the two machines. The request 使わないでください belongs to machine one, while machine two is explicitly usable. Reading only the word 故障 would miss that a working alternative is available.
ないでください asks someone not to do an action. Here, 使わない and 残さない refer to different actions and objects. The final sentence adds a positive instruction to take the laundry home promptly after finishing.
